   this is an interesting way to use Instagram. in NYC you can still find original street art from Keith Haring. I love his style and I love the way he brought attention to issues like AIDS in his day.

   What a great collection of street art photos. How do you come across these sites? I stumbled upon a few during my trips, but not very many and not so beautiful as these. Street art surely came a long way.

     I think some cities and towns have a lot more than others. They are quite often in unusual places and take some sourcing.

   It is so nice to see street art becoming mainstream in so many cities around the world. I love the Valparaiso one – mainly because I loved searching for all the beautiful street art when we were there.

   I really like street art and am so happy when I stumble across it. The Kids on Bikes one is located in one of my favorite places to walk in Penang, Malaysia. The first time I saw it was just a few days after it was completed. It was still unknown and a happy surprise find. It became more and more iconic during my time in Penang. After a while, there was always a long line waiting for photos and a cart across the street selling postcards and Tshirts with the image on it. It was actually quite hard to drive down the street because you had to avoid hitting people crowding around it.

   I love, love this post! Seems like I have a lot of people to follow on Instagram. I am happy you included a picture of Ataco. My husband is from El Salvador and Ataco is a town we stop by every time we visit the country. About the one from Puerto Rico,the blue triangle and red stripes on the flag were painted black. That was done as a way to protest the crisis the island is going though. #wkendtravelinspiration

   Gorgeous instagrams! I know I’ve shot a few murals over the years. Sometimes you just can’t resist, especially given the temporary nature of street art. It’s important to capture it. #wkendtravelinspiration

   Some great street art featured here, just love the variety of street art around. Amazing bold colours and creative expression. We try and capture some street art everywhere we go.

    I love finding street art when I’m travelling and these are all so engaging. I managed to miss a few of these when I visited places like Plovdiv and Strasbourg, but happy to remember all the great ones in Getsemani. Surprised Hosier Lane in Melbourne isn’t here, it’s really well known for its street art.

    I’m loving all of these! It’s crazy how talented these artists must be to be able to paint like that with a spray paint! My faves are from San Fran, Miami and Melbourne!

      I agree, street artists are seriously talented. We have a big Wonder Walls event in my city and are able to watch a group of artists, from sketching the outlines to the finished product around the city. Totally talented.
