Outside my Front Door is a series of posts by fellow travel bloggers who share what is … outside of their own front door
Mike and Luci are the Fighting Couple of 1000 Places to Fight Before You Die . Their couple travel blog focuses on couple travel destinations and a dash of relationship advice. Yes, they do fight…..alot!
Living in Idaho there is a wealth of outdoor activities that await us outside our back door. One of our favorite weekend trips is to Sun Valley. Located in the high mountains of central Idaho, the Wood River Valley is one of the most beautiful places we have visited. The area is best noted for its skiing, but we prefer the other three seasons.
Sun Valley has long been an escape for the rich and famous. Rarely do we visit the area and not see some Hollywood or business mogul. We have breakfasted with Arnold Swartzenger, had drinks…well he was drinking and so were we…with Bruce Willis. This is a place for the high and mighty to let down a little bit. The locals are extremely good about protecting privacy of our out of state guests.
For being a small mountain town, there are a generous selection of fine eateries. There is cusine for just about any taste. If you are looking for sushi, Thai, pizza, BBQ or some Idaho meat and potatoes…you will find them here.
Instead of telling about our fave activities, let us show you!

Thank you so much to Mike and Luci for sharing with us and contributing to “Outside my Front Door”. Regards, Paula and Gordon
Great idea for a post, and love the 1000 places to fight couple 🙂
Thanks Becky (global grasshopper.com), We like them a lot as we do your posts. Hoping when you get the chance you can contribute as well.
Really great idea for a post!
People often think they should at least drive 5 hours to see something beautiful or do something cool, while there’s often so much just around the corner.
I know, living in a tiny country that yet has so much to offer.
PS Wouldn’t mind contributing, if you’d be interested:)
Would love you to contribute. Details on our site, or email me. It is true isn’t it, that we often miss what is outside our own front door. I am so happy with the variety that we are seeing from the travel bloggers.
Beautiful place, I wish to visit someday…
Thank you for featuring us. This was a lot of fun. Idaho has so much to offer.
We were very happy that you did contribute and we have learnt a lot about Idaho, a place we knew little about. Thanks, we really appreciate that fact that your always generous with us. Regards, Paula and Gordon
