Continuing our series of posts by travel couples, to determine who does what when it comes to travel organisation, today we see what is happening with Samantha and Yeison of My Tan Feet. We asked each couple a number of questions and each week we are putting up the responses to see who does what in organizing the travels. “Who’s the boss” at My Tan Feet?

My Tan Feet is more than just a travel blog but also a lifestyle, personal, opinion, information guide, and adventure blog by Samantha and Yeison who live in Costa Rica. They want it to be a resource for those curious about the world, whether it’s exploring cultural differences in relationships, sharing the amazing nature in Costa Rica, or giving tips on how to get around Central America.

So, “Who’s the boss?” at My Tan Feet?

Samantha and Yeison say they “are both down to explore new places but we love doing outdoorsy things. We like cities but prefer to be at the beach or mountains. As long as we’re not in any traffic jams we’re OK!”  They are both flexible ‘when’ they go away since they work together. They like to take mini day trips once a week and go on longer trips once every few months to save up money as well since they are both working.

Yeison takes cares of flights because “Samantha hates flying but it’s necessary”, and he also takes care of any stop overs where required.

When researching their travels, they say that “We both do this but sometimes we will switch. I’ll plan one trip, he’ll plan the next”

Samantha says that “Yeison is quite a bit pickier than I am and he doesn’t necessarily have to be in a luxury place. He’s just picky” so he tends to take care of accommodation. Samantha organises any transport that is needed during their travels.

They both take care of packing but Samantha says, Yeison is actually a bit better than me at packing but they both participate. They don’t worry about locks on cases.

With foreign currency, “We both take care of this since we’ve both had plenty of experience handling currency exchanges”.

Who takes care of leaving the house neat and getting domestic things done? “Samantha is much better, Yeison is good at just making sure lights are turned off and such but doesn’t bother if the house is clean exactly” though Yeison does take care of making sure bills are paid and things organized. Samantha likes to stay on top of things even on vacation or traveling if it’s important or urgent. She hates the feeling of something hanging over her or that she’s forgetting something.

They are “both tech junkies, gotta bring our laptops, smart phones, tablet”.

With activities they claim “We’re both very adventurous and will try almost anything as long as it’s within our physical ability”.

So, “Who is the boss?” at My Tan Feet.
